FAQ
Questions, answered.

What will my kitchen remodel cost?
It's a common question homeowners have: how much to remodel a kitchen? The answer really depends on a number of factors. First, there's the size of your kitchen: the higher the square footage, the more countertops, cabinets, backsplash, and flooring are needed. There's also the price of the materials themselves. Finally, there's the scope of the project. Are you just getting new counters, or do you need everything? If you're looking to get started, get a free estimate from our team.
What part of my kitchen remodel does your team handle?
We can help with the demo and haul away of your old kitchen, including any cabinets, countertops, and sinks. We'll then arrange to have your new cabinets, counters, floors, and backsplash installed. Our team also handles the plumbing and electrical work and schedules it as part of your project. We'll help you organize your kitchen remodel to ensure everything runs smoothly and gets done in the correct order.
Do I need an appointment to see the slabs?
No. Our showroom and warehouse is open to the public. Stop by Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm or Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Where is your showroom and what areas do you serve?
We are located at 3479 E University Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85034, minutes from downtown and Sky Harbor Airport. We serve homeowners across the Valley, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Peoria and Paradise Valley.
How long does a kitchen remodel take in Phoenix?
Most full kitchen remodels run about 6 to 12 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. The planning, design, and ordering phase before demo can add several more weeks on top of that. Simple cosmetic refreshes finish faster, while projects with layout changes, permits, or long material lead times take longer. At Superior Stone & Cabinet, the team organizes each step in the correct order so cabinets, countertops, and backsplash go in efficiently and the project keeps moving.
What's the difference between prefabricated and slab granite?
Prefabricated granite comes pre-cut to common countertop sizes and standard edge profiles, which usually makes it our fastest route to a finished kitchen. Slab granite is cut to order from a full slab, giving you the widest range of colors, veining, and custom edge and layout choices. We carry both at our Phoenix showroom, so you can compare them side by side and choose what fits your project.
How does granite compare to quartz?
At Superior, we install both granite and quartz. Both are considered 'stone,' but there are some key differences. Granite is cut from stone slab, while quartz is ground up and then sealed in a resin. Because of this, granite is only available in colors found in nature, with that rich, unique stone veining. Quartz comes in a wider number of colors. Both are durable: quartz is more water-resistant, while granite stands up better to heat. If you're deciding between the two, talk to our team.
