Granite Countertops in Mesa

Most granite countertops benefit from sealing, since granite is a natural stone with some porosity. How often you reseal depends on the specific stone and how heavily the surface is used. Many homeowners reseal about once a year, while denser granites can go longer. In Mesa's hard-water conditions, sealing also helps limit mineral staining around sinks and faucets. A simple water-bead test tells you when it's time: if water stops beading and starts soaking in, it's due for another coat.

Timelines vary by project, but the process runs template, then fabrication, then installation. Once your granite is selected and templated, fabrication and install typically wrap within a couple of weeks. Prefabricated granite often moves faster (we can frequently schedule next-day installation) since it doesn't require the same custom cutting as a full slab.

For everyday cleaning, warm water and a little mild dish soap on a soft cloth is usually all you need. Skip acidic or abrasive cleaners such as vinegar, bleach, or scouring pads, which can dull the polish or wear on the sealer over time. Because Mesa has hard water, it helps to wipe up standing water and splashes near the sink so mineral deposits don't build up. Keeping the stone sealed rounds out the routine and makes day-to-day cleanup easier.
