Quartz countertops: Superior partners with LG Hausys

LG is a company best known for making great televisions, refrigerators, and other home appliances. Yet, another little-known side of their business is creating high-quality, beautiful quartz countertops through a subsidiary, LG Hausys. Known as Viatera quartz, there are 50 different colors and textures available to consumers as part of this collection.

Recently, Superior Stone & Cabinet has partnered with LG Hausys to bring our customers even more quartz countertop options. Backed by a 15-year limited warranty, LG countertops are some of the best in the industry, and really set the standard for quartz across the industry. In this blog post, we’ll discuss what quartz is, why we’ve partnered with LG, and how you can learn more about these countertops.

What is quartz?

In our previous blog posts, we’ve talked a bit about quartz and the differences between quartz and granite countertops. Quartz countertops are manufactured out of crushed quartz stone and resin; these materials are crushed in a variety of ways that creates different options for the look of the countertop.

In contrast to the natural waves of prefabricated and slab granite, quartz countertops typically have a clean, uniform look to them. Plus, quartz requires less regular upkeep, comes already protected thanks to its manufactured status, and can be very durable while maintaining flexibility. Finally, it’s not porous, unlike granite slabs.

Disadvantages of quartz include the potential for UV light to cause damage or discoloration, as well as the fact that it doesn’t have the glamorous name recognition of “granite” and thus doesn’t increase your property value as much.

However, one of the biggest benefits of quartz countertops is the price point, which typically comes in under that of prefabricated or slab granite. If you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen and save money in the process, a quartz countertop from LG Hausys might be right for your home remodeling project. Why work with LG Hausys?

Unlike many other countertop makers, LG Hausys manufactures its quartz countertops in Adairsville, Georgia. They’re a company with a tradition of excellence, and their quartz counters are built with pride and high quality standards.

Here’s the thing: carrying LG quartz countertops has allowed us to greatly expand our available stock of these kind of countertops, giving us a selection rivaling our prefabricated granite collection and that of other Phoenix wholesalers who deal in quartz. This means more choices for you. Even if you decide not to get a quartz countertop from Superior, isn’t it nice to know that you’ll be seeing everything we have to offer in our store, instead of having to visit several stores to get a feel for different countertop collections?

How can I learn more about quartz countertops?

The best place to get started is by scheduling a free, in-home estimate with us. This is a no-obligation service, but it allows one of our friendly and experienced installers to meet with you to talk about your remodeling plans, and take professional measurements of your kitchen or bathroom space. Even if you don’t end up buying from Superior, having those measurements will save you an important step in your remodel.

Next, come into our showroom to see our collection of LG Hausys quartz countertops. Armed with your space measurements, our team can help you determine exactly what each type of quartz (or granite, if you decide to go in that direction) will cost. From there, if you do decide to buy from us, our professional team can do your countertop installation. Quartz requires professional installers: unlike granite, it’s far too heavy to safely install yourself, and you’ll want an official company to do it.
